This 16" globe, with its internal illumination, simulates the Earth's daily rotation and seasonal changes within a six minute cycle. The terminator is clearly visible separating daylight and darkness with particular attention to the illumination of the Polar regions, the current position of the sun and the significance of the Arctic and Antarctic Circles. A smoked acrylic box aids in viewing the simulation by shielding against distracting illumination.
