The net is of white micromesh, with 18" deep cone section and 11-1/2" x 12" long hoop. At a weight of only 408 grams (0.9 lbs), One student will hold the net in a stream, while another student kicks up the streambed upstream. The organisms that are stirred up will flow into the net to be collected. Net has no shroud. Replacement nets are available.
